Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 7:35 am; a victim in the 600 block of Stone Avenue reported to a Paris Officer that he locked his vehicle and left the windows partially rolled down, and later returned to discover that his Norinco SKS semi-automatic rifle, with a Rather night vision scope, totaling in value of $ 1,500 dollars, had been stolen from the front seat. At approximately 12:54 pm, the Officer responded back to the same general area to a Found Property call, locating the stolen rifle in a trash dumpster. The dumpster was searched, but the rifle’s scope could not be located.

Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 7:51 am; a Burglary of a Business was reported in the 1100 block of North Main Street. The owner stated someone had broken into his shop. Responding Paris Officer observed that entry had been made through a gate, by prying it open from the bottom. Welding leads and a Bauer 4-inch grinder were missing. The officer followed drag marks, leading to a back gate and located the welding leads and a trash can full of copper scraps. The Burglary will be further investigated.

Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 2:14 pm; a Paris Officer was dispatched to the 1400 block of Clarksville Street and met with a victim, who believes he has located his stolen Miter saw at the business. The victim never reported the break-in into his shed, located at his residence and stated he had been looking for his saw for about a month. A hold was placed on the saw and the incident will be further investigated

Tuesday, October 22, 2024, Paris Police Department responded to 56 Calls for Service, made no Adult Arrest and Initiated 12 Traffic Stops.
